Dartbrook Lodge is set in a beautiful valley surrounded by the mountains, lakes, gorges, waterfalls and pristine forests that define the picturesque heart of the Adirondack Park.

The Lodge occupies spacious grounds alongside the Dart Brook in Keene, New York, the "Home of the High Peaks," and has a long history for welcoming travelers dating back to the 1800's when the region became world renowned for its natural beauty.

The Lodge provides travelers with the rustic comfort of a mountain home.  Furnished in the Great Camp tradition by local artisans, the Lodge has a range of accommodations, including well appointed private cottages and suites with porches, kitchens and many other unique features.

Lake Placid, with its restaurants, theaters and shopping, and Whiteface Mountain, the Olympic ski venue, are nearby.

Cedar Run

The Cedar Run Bakery and Restaurant
at the Lodge offers breakfast and lunch,
box-lunches and a variety of fresh baked goods and homemade prepared meals.

Bell's Hotel

The first hotel on the site of the Lodge, known as "Bell's Hotel," and also the
"Keene Center House" was built in 1825,
but lost to fire in 1883. It was replaced two years later by the "Hotel Halcyon," later renamed the "Owl's Head Hotel," which is pictured to the left. In 1946, the Owl's Head Hotel was dismantled and rebuilt as the "Woodruff Cabins." The property was extensively restored starting in 2006 to become the Dartbrook Lodge. The cottages and suites at the Lodge are named after the former establishments which graced the site.
